Digital assets encompass all types of currencies, tokens, assets, securities or smart contracts registered on a decentralised ledger such as blockchain. This definition includes all payment tokens (synonymous of plain-vanilla « cryptocurrencies »), utility tokens and securities tokens as defined by the Swiss regulator, FINMA, in its Guidelines for enquiries regarding the regulatory framework for initial coin offerings (see here).

Taurus is building the next generation platform to buy and sell digital assets. It is offering, at the time of writing, a brokerage platform to individuals and legal entities.

Taurus Group SA is a limited company and operates as a financial intermediary subject to swiss know your customer and anti-money laundering rules. It is affiliated to ARIF, the Association Romande des Intermédiaires Financiers (see here).

You can buy and sell Bitcoin and Ethereum automatically on Taurus platform, which represent at the time of writing, 60% of the total digital assets market capitalisation.

Yes. You will need to go through the registration process.

Taurus has built liquidity with the largest market makers and exchanges in the world and can provide brokerage services on the major digital assets. To pass such orders, you will need to contact us by email.

The registration process is fully digital and takes between 5 and 8 minutes.

Taurus applies Swiss know your customer and anti-money laundering rules. You will need to go through the following steps:

  1. Set-up 2-factor authentication for your own security
  2. Enter your personal details
  3. Upload the relevant document
  4. Enter your banking details and digital address to receive payments
  5. Submit your application

Taurus will reply in a matter of minutes. More complex files can take up to a few days. You will be notified by e-mail at each step of the process.

The registration process is hybrid. The entry point is digital and then some documents will need to be sent by e-mail or paper  (typically for some incorporation documents).

Taurus applies swiss know your customer and anti-money laundering rules. Once you open an account, an account executive will contact you shortly to support you through the full account opening process.

You should send an e-mail with TRANSACTION STATUS in the title to [email protected]. Our support team will do the investigations required with the highest possible priority and come back to you.

The platform has been thoroughly tested before entering in production. Still, if you noticed an instability please send an e-mail to  [email protected] with a description (incl. snapshots) of the issue you saved. Our development team will fix these immediately.
